A Toronto, Canada woman, Anita Wing Lee, has revealed that strangers often assume her wedding pictures are unreal or AI-generated.
This is because of the wide height difference between her and her husband, Timothy Muttoo. She stands at five feet four inches, while her husband stands at four feet.
Lee, in a recent interview on their love story, said a mutual friend introduced Muttoo to her at a birthday party in 2021.
According to her, Muttoo instantly felt a connection and started a friendship with her.
He called and texted her, and they went out to fun places on a number of occasions. During this time, Muttoo developed a romantic interest and wanted to take the relationship further.
The lovestruck man besieged Lee with more calls and text messages, betraying his affections for her.
At that point, Lee said she became uneasy as she only saw him as a friend.
With her sister, she crafted a message to explain how she saw him. It was a careful message because she did not want to lose him as a friend.
She delayed for a long time about sending the text, but ultimately sent it. She said the feeling of sadness that enveloped her after sending the text was unexpected.
That was when she began to realise that she was also fond of Muttoo the same way he was about her.
She admitted they had a lot in common, but the major problem was the appearance. She did not see her dream man in him.
Muttoo, who trained as an engineer and co-founded a Canadian charity, persisted in his quest for a romantic liaison.
Lee said after much consideration, including reflecting on the story of the armless and legless Australian motivational speaker, Nick Vujicic, she decided to give it a shot.
She said it was the best decision of her life as Muttoo turned out to be everything she had always wanted in a husband.
Lee described her husband as thoughtful, kind, supportive and very caring. She added that there were no red flags in their relationship.
They got engaged in September 2024 and formally tied the knot earlier this year.
They have now set up a website to share their unusual story and let the world know that love can come from the unlikeliest of sources.
