British-Nigerian media personality Ore Oduba has published a picture of himself completely bare, except for tiny briefs.

At the bottom of the briefs was written ‘Pride’ in rainbow colours.

He also recently added a rainbow flag emoji to his Instagram bio, raising speculation that he was gay.

However, in a post today, Friday, 1 July, 2025, Oduba said the actions he has taken lately were all tributes to his late sister, Lola.

He explained that while he was not gay, the rainbow flag made him feel closer to Lola.

Lola, according to him, identified as non-binary in the latter end of their life, adopting they/them pronouns.

She died in April.

Oduba, 39, said since he lost Lola, the rainbow had brought him closer to them in the times he needed that connection the most.

He said his sister was very “proudly black and very proudly queer”, describing them as an ICON to himself and their friends and family.

Oduba expressed regret that Lola lived their latter years in shame and humiliation for who they were.

With the benefit of hindsight, he said he realised he had spent the majority of his own life seeking validation from others.

However, the death of his sister, he said, had given him the rude awakening to live his life for himself and fully express himself.

The radio and TV presenter declared how much he missed Lola and expressed delight that he felt a connection with them after their death.

He promised that he would always keep Lola’s rainbow flag flying in his heart.

Oduba split from his wife, Portia, in October 2024. Their union was blessed with two kids, Genie, four, and Roman, seven.

They met at Loughborough University in 2010 and got married in 2015.
