A Nigerian man, Elvis Nosakhare, 41, is to spend the next six years in jail for having sexual interactions with the minor daughter of his girlfriend in the United Kingdom.
Nosakhare, who lived in Sheelin Grove, Bletchley, was found guilty and imprisoned at Aylesbury Crown Court on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.
His name has also been added to the Sex Offenders Register, according to Thames Valley Police. In addition, he is restrained from having any interaction with the ex-girlfriend and her daughter.
The convict started a romantic affair with the mother of the victim after they met on a dating site.
He went from sleeping with the mother to sleeping with her daughter under the same roof in the Thames Valley area.
He had committed the offence with the minor multiple times before the girlfriend realised what had been happening.
During the trial earlier this year, the court found Nosakhare guilty of two counts of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl and three counts of engaging in non-penetrative sexual activity with a girl.
Detective Constable Bryn Smith, of the Child Abuse Unit, who investigated the case, commended the victim for her courage during the investigation and court proceedings.
He expressed the hope that the conviction and sentencing of Nosakhare would offer her some sense of justice.
Bryn said the Thames Valley Police had dedicated teams who investigated s3xual offences and supported victims, while bringing offenders to justice.
He called on anyone with tips on sexual offences or who is a victim of such to contact the police.
Bryn assured them they would be listened to by experienced officers and staff.
He asked them to call 101, visit a police station or reach out via the website.
