An Italy-based Nigerian woman has criticised Nigerians for overglorifying monogamous relationships.

In an interview with Italy-based citizen journalist, Italian Davido, the lady who is married to an Italian claims that her marriage has opened her eyes to how tolerant and liberal Caucasians are in their marriages compared to Nigerians or blacks generally.

According to her, if she were interested in having a fling with a black man, she would simply tell her partner, who would gladly allow her to go out with the man.

She also claims to have a male cleaner who comes into her matrimonial home to tidy up the house and then does some other ‘things’ she tells him to without her husband getting angry.

“Na blacks dey carry this marriage thing for head. What is there? If I want a black man now now, my husband will not be angry. Him too can cheat” she says in pidgin. (It is the blacks who overglorify marriage. It’s not that deep. If I want a fling with a black man, my husband will not be angry. He can also cheat.)

She claims that she also allows her husband to fraternise with other women. She says he particularly has a thing for women with big breasts.

“He asked me to pump up my boobs, but I said no. I don’t want to die. But to satisfy him, I pay girls with big boobs to come and play with him. He will play with them and they will go. What is there?” she says.

When asked how she met the man, she says, “I was cleaning his house. He paid me 100 euros per visit. Then he asked me to marry him”.

Now, they have been married for six years and have two kids.

The lady said she was first married to a Nigerian man named Victor, but the marriage did not last because she could not bear him a child.

She alleges that Victor traumatised her and tried to intimidate her whenever they met after their marriage collapsed.

She claims she still runs into Victor now when she attends events in the Nigerian community in Italy, but she is no longer afraid of him.
