Mega star musician, Davido, has declared his passion for his craft, saying that despite having billions sitting in his bank accounts, he still works hard.
The “E ma dami duro” crooner made the declaration following a successful outing in Canada. The show was reportedly sold out.
He hinted that it took a lot of mental toll on him to keep going in order to measure up to his status as one of Africa’s biggest stars.
The musician acknowledged the massive support he had received from his family and fans, but stressed that individual strength and mental ability were still required for him to record the kind of success he has.
The popular musician, who is a son of a billionaire business man, said if he stopped working today, he would not lack. He asked rhetorically, “So why do I do this?”, and he answered by himself, “Because I love my job.”
The singer said he was sometimes conflicted about pushing on, with an inner self telling him to push himself harder while another part of him urged him to slow down.
Davido said amidst it all, his passion for music and entertaining his fans was the sustaining factor for him.
According to him, it did not matter how many people were in the hall, 10 or 19,000. He said he would happily entertained them.
“I love this sh+t!” he declared.
