The Ogun State operation of the South West Security Network Agency, also known as Amotekun Corps, has arrested a wanted serial robber, Usman Abdullahi.

Amoteku carried out the arrest in conjunction with the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps), on Saturday, July 26, 2025.

Usman Abdullahi was picked up in Ijebu-Ode following a carefully planned joint operation.

The suspect, who was known in the street as AK, hails from the Lumbasa Local Government area of Katsina State.

He had been on the wanted list of all security agencies, including the Nigerian police, in the local government.

Crimes linked to him include stealing, membership of the Eiye cult group and aiding kidnapping, among others.

Amotekun officials recovered some items from the suspect. They include a locally made pistol, two ice bunkers, a knife, lighters, and a waist charm.

Amotekun Corps Deputy Commander, Tajudeen Bakare (rtd), said the suspect had been handed over to the Obalende police division along with the items recovered from him for prosecution.

He lauded the partnership between Amotekun and So-Safe Corps, which led to the arrest of the suspect.

The Amotekun boss also commended his men for their bravery and diligence. He charged residents to continue to feed his team with actionable information that would rid society of crime.
