Nigerian gospel singer, Pita, has taken to social media to share a funny experience of someone trying to steal his phone while he was ministering on the altar.
The video he posted of the incident shows him on stage ministering when he noticed someone approaching his phone.
He fixed his gaze on the location for a while as he led the worship song, “I will call upon the Lord”.
He stayed on that line for a while, and did not proceed to the next line, apparently as he tried to understand what the person was trying to do.
At some point, he descended into the audience and pointed at the person, shouting, “Stop!”.
The camera did not focus on the area he was pointing to, but ushers, apparently, got his message and helped him secure his valuables.
He then returned to the altar to continue his ministration.
Netizens joked that he lived the word of Jesus, who admonished his followers to watch and pray.
Someone joked that the thief needed the phone to call upon the Lord as Pita sang.
