The verdict was delivered on Friday at the Ikorodu Magistrate Court, Lagos, following an extensive trial.
Magistrate Adedayo Shotobi held that Mohbad’s death was not caused by any criminal act.
The magistrate, however, condemned the action of the auxiliary nurse, Feyisayo Ogedengbe, who gave the late singer an injection without a doctor’s prescription.

He described the action as both unlawful and professionally negligent.
Shotobi recommended the nurse for prosecution for gross negligence and illegal medical practice.
He referred her case to the Directorate of Public Prosecutions for possible trial.
On the petition the late singer filed against Naira Marley and Sam Larry, alleging assault and intimidation, the coroner called for a separate investigation of the issue.

Shotobi also criticised Mohbad’s father for hurriedly burying him right after his death without insisting on an autopsy.
He also tongue-lashed his wife for not taking him to the hospital promptly when he fell ill.
The magistrate also had harsh words for social media influencers and content creators, whom he accused of distorting facts about the case during the proceedings.
He said their activities were capable of compromising the integrity of the judicial process.
