A Nigerian nurse in the United States of America, Goodluck Ikechukwu Nshi, is trending for coming to Nigeria to secretly marry another woman.
Ikechukwu, a father of four, a native of Nkalaha in Ishielu LGA, Ebonyi State, left his nurse wife and four kids in America to tie the knot with a younger woman he met in 2022 when he came to Nigeria for what he told his wife was a professional conference.
It was learnt that his marriage to his first wife has been going through some storms, primarily because of his alleged philandering, according to information given to LIB.
The situation got so bad that the wife made an official move to separate from Ikechukwu in February of this year. She filed for a divorce even though they continued to live together as co-tenants.
The husband reportedly later tried to talk his wife out of her intention to get a divorce, but when he did not succeed, he filed for divorce in Nigeria.
It was speculated that he opted for Nigeria to get his divorce so he could escape from some financial obligations that would be imposed on him post-divorce in America
It was further claimed that Ikechukwu used the occasion of travelling to Nigeria in June for his divorce hearing to formally marry his much younger wife on June 14, just a day after testifying in his divorce case in court.
The man allegedly kept everything away from the woman he lived with in America.
The secret blew open when people who saw Ikechukwu at the wedding in Nigeria called his wife to inform her.
He is now facing a possible case of bigamy, which could land him in trouble if his wife decides to press charges.
It is not clear if the wife will pursue the case or let it slide.
