‘I wake up at 4am to go to work that pays me peanuts’, Man gets sacked after ranting about his job online

A Ghanaian man has found himself jobless after taking to social media to rant about how he had to wake early and return late only to collect peanuts as salary at the end of the month.
The young man shot the video to provide motivation for young men like him to think of what they can do outside of corporate jobs to go far in life.
According to him, ‘corporate jobs’ would only enslave the workers, and they will never be able to afford the basic things of life.
He showed his apartment and complained that despite working for some time, he was not able to afford to buy a wardrobe to put his clothes.
He also does not have a bed as he put his mattress on the bare floor.
“I wake up at 4 am to go to work. Today, I woke up at 5 am. I will not return to my house until 8 in the evening”, he lamented.
He said, despite the sacrifice, his net salary was 3000 cedis (about N400,000), which he claimed went mainly into transportation to and from work.
He further lamented that food took another chunk of the remainder, leaving him with basically nothing to save or use to improve the quality of his life.
The young man declared that he had a plan, and according to the plan, by December, he would quit his regular job and focus on content creation.
The video went viral as it resonated with many young Ghanaians experiencing economic hardship.
The man’s management saw the video and gave him a sack letter.
In a follow-up video, the young man said he planned to go to the company to demand the two months’ salaries they owed him.
