A 21-year-old woman, Christiana Olatunji, was found dead in a roadside gutter in Lokoja, the capital of Kogi State.
Christiana, a student of a tertiary institution in Lokoja and a native of Fehinti-Kabba in Kabba Bunu Local Government Area, was last seen early last week at a popular lounge in the city alongside a friend.
After days of unsuccessful search efforts by her friends and security operatives, her lifeless body was discovered in a gutter on Thursday.
According to reports, one of her friends has been arrested and is currently assisting police in the investigation.
The late Christiana was also said to be a well-known content creator on social media.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Kogi State Command, SP William Aya, stated that an arrest has been made and investigations are ongoing to uncover the circumstances surrounding her death.
He added that the suspects would be charged to court.
