Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has announced the renaming of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, after a late former governor of the state, Dr. Omololu Olunloyo.
Makinde made the announcement on Thursday in his brief remarks at the interdenominational commendation service for the late former governor, held at the Obafemi Awolowo stadium in Ibadan, the state capital.
He said, “The institution will now be known as Omololu Olunloyo Polytechnic, Ibadan.”
The late Olunloyo was the pioneer Rector of the institution.
He died recently, a few weeks before his 90th birthday.
