Tensions between Iran, Israel, and the United States have escalated dramatically after Israeli forces launched a powerful wave of airstrikes on Tehran, reportedly killing hundreds of members of Iran’s elite Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

In response, Iranian state media issued a chilling threat, vowing that up to 50,000 American soldiers could be killed in retaliation for U.S. support of the strikes and its calls for regime change in Tehran.

During a broadcast on Iranian state television, anchor Mehdi Khanalizadeh accused U.S. President Donald Trump of intentionally provoking war, declaring that “coffins of up to 50,000 U.S. soldiers” could be sent home.

This follows Trump’s announcement via Truth Social that U.S.-provided satellite imagery confirmed massive damage to Iran’s nuclear facilities, some of which, he claimed, were destroyed deep underground.

He also renewed his call for regime change in the Islamic Republic.

In parallel developments, Iranian outlets reported further Israeli airstrikes targeting the Fordow nuclear site.

Israeli media said the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) also struck access roads and other strategic locations.

The IDF confirmed that its strikes had hit key IRGC installations in the heart of Tehran, including a central military headquarters, with hundreds of elite guards and intelligence operatives reported dead.

Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant stated that additional targets, including Evin Prison and the symbolic “Israel Destruction” clock in Palestine Square, were also under assault.

“For every shot fired at the Israeli home front, the Iranian dictator will be punished,” said Gallant in a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter).

“We will continue to act to protect the home front and defeat the enemy until all war goals are achieved.”

The situation remains volatile, with live updates unfolding as the conflict threatens to spiral into a broader regional confrontation.
