Sowore fires back at Ned Nwoko for calling him ‘jobless’ over Regina Daniels infidelity row

Human rights activist and politician Omoyele Sowore has responded fiercely to Senator Ned Nwoko after the lawmaker labelled him “jobless” for defending a man who accused actress Regina Daniels—Nwoko’s wife—of infidelity.
The dispute stems from the arrest of a young man, Gabriel Timothy, popularly known as Tumma, who alleged on social media that Regina Daniels had a lover in Abuja.
Following a petition from Ned Nwoko, Tumma was invited by the police and reportedly detained.

Reacting, Sowore condemned the detention, calling it unjust and vowing to fight for the young man’s release.
In a strongly worded statement posted online, Sowore wrote:
“Just as we secured Jaruma’s release and that of several young people unlawfully detained in 2021, Tumma will also be released. Injustice will not be tolerated.”
Sowore further accused Nwoko of abusing power, manipulating law enforcement, and attempting to silence critics. He also recalled rejecting past invitations to Nwoko’s Abuja residence and criticised what he termed “shady political dealings and wealth acquisition” by the senator.
The clash has sparked wider debate online, with #FreeTummaNow gaining traction on social media.
