Cyprus police officers suspended after being caught having s3x in patrol car in broad daylight (Video)

Two police officers in Cyprus have been suspended after being filmed engaging in s3xual activity inside a patrol vehicle during daylight hours.

The incident occurred in Larnaca, in the southeastern part of the country, where a passerby driving through an open field noticed the male and female officers in a compromising position inside their parked police car.

The eyewitness recorded the scene on video, which quickly went viral on social media and sparked widespread outrage.

Social media users condemned the officers’ actions, with one noting, “If I or you did it and a patrol car passed by, we would be arrested,” while another commented that the officers “must suffer the consequences of their actions.”

Authorities swiftly identified the individuals involved and placed them on suspension. According to local media, one of the officers was on duty at the time of the incident, while the other was off duty.

The Cyprus Police has launched both criminal and disciplinary investigations. Possible charges may include public indecency and neglect of duty, according to the Cyprus Mail.

A police spokesperson described the act as “unacceptable,” stating that it undermines the integrity of the force and disrespects the efforts of thousands of dedicated officers.

Despite the criticism, the Cyprus Police Association urged the public to respect the personal lives and privacy of the officers involved.

“The public’s trust is valuable to us, and there is no room for excuses when it comes to ethics and professionalism,” the association stated.

“However, we are concerned about the wave of discredit aimed at the entire police force as a result of this incident.”

Irini Loïzidou Nicolaidou, Commissioner for Personal Data Protection, emphasised that while the officers are accountable for their actions, protecting the privacy of their families, particularly if children are involved, must be a priority.

This latest scandal follows a broader trend of misconduct in law enforcement.

In the UK, at least 26 officers were reportedly disciplined or dismissed over the past two years for engaging in sexual acts while on duty, with 20 of them losing their jobs, according to The Sun.
