Reports indicate that heavy floodwaters submerged a significant portion of the route, leaving many travellers stranded and unable to proceed.
The flooded road, a critical link to Makurdi, has forced commuters to either delay their trips or seek temporary refuge in safer locations nearby.
The incident sparked concern about the ability of President Tinubu to follow through with his promise to visit the state today.
