U.S. President, Donald Trump, has suggested American involvement in recent Israeli strikes on Iran, declaring in a Truth Social post that the United States now has “complete and total control of the skies over Iran.”

In his post, Trump remarked on Iran’s aerial defences, saying, “Iran had good sky trackers and other defensive equipment, and plenty of it, but it doesn’t compare to American-made, conceived, and manufactured ‘stuff.’ Nobody does it better than the good ol’ USA.”

In a follow-up message, Trump made a pointed remark about Iran’s leadership: “We know exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there – we are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now. But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin.”

These statements come amid increased scrutiny over U.S. involvement in the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran.

Speculation has grown about a potential joint strike on Iran’s Fordow nuclear facility, which is deeply embedded in a mountain and could only be targeted with U.S. B-2 bombers carrying bunker-busting munitions.

Earlier on Tuesday, Trump emphasised his desire for a “real end” to the conflict, clarifying that he is “not looking for a ceasefire” but rather a “complete give-up” from Iran. He added, “I think they know not to touch our troops,” warning that any aggression would be met with a “gloves off” response.

Trump reportedly cut short his G7 summit visit in Canada on Monday to return to Washington amid the escalating missile exchanges between Israel and Iran.
