Southern Delta University student stabbed by ex-boyfriend during alleged rape attempt in classroom
A female student of Southern Delta University, Ozoro, Delta State, was reportedly stabbed by her ex-boyfriend during a brutal attempted rape inside a classroom on campus.
The shocking incident, which occurred on Monday, has sent ripples of fear and outrage throughout the university community.
Viral videos circulating online captured the aftermath of the attack, showing a pool of blood on the floor of a classroom and traces of blood on the floor leading to the door and the staircase apparently showing the trail of the evacuation of the victim.
Another clip showed the moment police officers apprehended the suspect, allegedly the victim’s former boyfriend.
He was seen being forcefully taken into custody and bundled into a police vehicle as students and onlookers gathered around the scene.
The victim’s condition remains undisclosed at the time of this report, while authorities have yet to release an official statement.
However, the incident has sparked renewed calls for heightened campus security and awareness around sexual violence.
