

The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a businessman accused of violently assaulting three young women during a birthday celebration at a nightclub in Port Harcourt.
The incident, which went viral on social media, occurred over the weekend when the women claimed they were attacked by a male clubgoer who accused them of recording him without permission.
One of the victims appeared in a video with blood streaming from her head, while another was shown with a missing front tooth, allegedly the result of being punched in the face.
A third victim recounted being shoved down a flight of stairs, stripped naked, and brutally beaten by the man and members of his entourage.
The police had earlier announced that an investigation had been launched into the disturbing incident.
Providing an update, the spokesperson of the Rivers State Police Command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, told LIB that the suspect was arrested on Saturday, June 14, and released the following day, June 15.
She added that both the victims and the suspect were invited for an interview with the Commissioner of Police.
Investigations into the matter are still ongoing.
