
The Executive Chairman of Oto-Awori Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Lagos State, Prince Musibau Adekunle Asafa, has died after battling a prolonged illness.
His death was confirmed in a statement released on Saturday morning by his Chief Press Secretary, Bodunrin Ayodele, via Facebook.
The statement read:
“Oto-Awori Local Council Development Area is in mourning following the passing of its Executive Chairman, Prince Musibau Adekunle Asafa. A respected politician, leader, and dedicated public servant, Prince Asafa succumbed to a prolonged illness, leaving behind a legacy of selfless service.”
According to a close family member, Prince Asafa had been undergoing medical treatment for an undisclosed illness before he finally passed away. His death has left his family, friends, and associates in deep sorrow.
As the news of his passing circulates, tributes are expected to pour in from political associates, community leaders, and residents who worked with him and benefited from his leadership.
Prince Asafa was known for his dedication to the development of Oto-Awori and for championing causes aimed at improving the lives of his constituents.
“Oto-Awori LCDA has lost a true servant of the people,” the statement added. “His memory and impact will continue to live on in the community he served.”
Funeral arrangements are yet to be announced.
