Ifunanya Mokwuah, a US-based Nigerian lady who flew to Nigeria to rescue her father, Peter, from his greedy siblings who incarcerated him in his own house in Anambra State, has made a new revelation that his father’s younger brother in America traced him to his hospital room to get him to sign some suspicious documents.
It would be recalled that Ifunanay successfully rescued her father from his mansion, where he had been held hostage for up to a year, and flew him back to the United States for medical treatment.
Ifunanya in a new post on her TikTok page, disclosed that her father stayed one month in the hospital before they put him in a nursing home cum rehabilitation centre where they would help him to regain the use of his legs, which became virtually useless following protracted incarceration in his house in Nigeria.
She said she held a meeting with the staff and management of the nursing home to let them understand the special situation her father was in and the need for them to monitor his room and report to her if there was any strange visit to him.

She said she was at home one day when she got a call from the nursing home that his father’s brother, Gabriel and his wife were in his father’s room and locked the door behind them.
Ifunanya said that she, her mother and brother got into the car and raced to the facility, and met her uncle and his wife inside the room with her father.
She noticed that Gabriel had a file jacket containing some documents.
She switched to her video recording of the event, showing Gabriel and his wife being walked out of the nursing home.
Gabriel can be heard at some point saying to Ifunanya, “Get your ugly ass out of the way!”, to which she responded, “Thank you for insulting me”.
Ifunanya can also be heard reminding him that she now had the power of attorney over her father, and whatever document he secretly brought to him to sign was of no effect.
She said after her uncle and his wife departed, they went back to her father’s room and inquired what had happened.

She said her father disclosed that his brother brought some documents, which he signed even though he had no idea what they were meant for.
She said her father still trusted his brother and refused to believe that he was part of the gang up against him by his Nigeria-based siblings.
Ifunanya, however, strongly believed that Gabriel was working closely with their relatives in Nigeria to incarcerate her father for up to a year.
She also recalled that at the time she was making arrangements to fly her father out to the US, she was informed by the embassy that her father’s brother had written them to say that he held the power of attorney over her father and, as such, nobody could take him out of Nigeria without his authorisation.
This led to a new power of attorney being developed and notarised in Lagos with the help of the staff of the American Embassy.
Responding to a comment under her post, Ifunanya, disclosed that her father brought Gabriel to the US in the 80s.
“See how he is paying back his brother!” she remarked.
