One of the guests at the VIP section where an altercation took place between a young lady and Professor Lasun Gbadamosi at the recently concluded Ojude Oba in Ijebu Ode has offered his perspective on what transpired between the two.

The witness, Balogun Olamilekan, an accomplished lawyer, who had VIP access to the venue, wrote his account on Facebook.

According to him, he was directly in front of the young lady, Olori Titilope Odusanwo, in the queue as they tried to get clearance into the VIP section.

Olamilekan said Odusanwo had an invite and was admitted by Prof Gbadamosi, who had the final say on who could access the VIP section.

He said Odusanwo, however, wanted her photographer to follow her into the VIP section, which the professor resisted.

In Olamilekan’s view, Odusanywo did not conduct herself well during the incident.

“I have tried not to write or comment on the matter from the beginning because I know how social media works in Nigeria.

Sentiments are formed, emotions are raised, social media is now a court where we judge matters in Nigeria.

Bloggers are using the story to trend.

Some people now go from wall to wall to read people’s posts for submissions similar to theirs on the matter, and if otherwise, pick up unreasonable fights.

Let me state clearly that Professor Lasun Gbadamosi did not stop the Lady because of her dressing, so all of you that are abusing Prof. Lasun should note this.

There is nothing wrong with the Lady’s dressing, that style is Oleku inspired design, many Ladies that represented brands wore something like that too, please check Glo Ladies style in the comment section.

As an eye witness of the whole drama, the drama happened on the staircase that led to the VIP section where the Governor, Ministers, Kings, High Chiefs and other dignitaries converged to welcome the Regberegbe and other VIPs that would come to pay homage.

On that staircase you will see 6 armed policemen that clears you first, then Professor Lasun will check your Invite, he has the final say of who goes in, I was stopped by him while I was looking for my invitation card, he said I would not proceed despite the way Baba Osoba was shouting “E je kì wọn kọjá, won fe wa ri Governor ni” I later found my Invitation card in my pocket, were it not that professor Lasun wouldn’t have allowed me access.

The Lady was behind me with her VIP invitation card but She wanted to come in with a photographer, nevertheless, Prof said ‘No’ that was the Genesis of the problem.

The Lady was very wrong for talking to Prof Lasun like that. Nigerians with double standards are now complaining about her dress, the same people that their children dress indecently are now forming holy holy on Social Media.

It is the convention that people ought to get their facts right before making any comment at all.

Criticism seems like a piece of cake for some people because they find it easier to sit in the comfort of their homes and/or offices and utter unedifying remarks about other people.

If you are ambitious in life learn to ignore gossips, romour-mongering because they are causes of distractions.

Heads up and eyes on the prize.

Balogun Olamilekan Adelaja Esq.”
