
A Nigerian man, Chinedu Kalu, who claims he once played for the country’s U-20 national football team, the Flying Eagles, has revealed that he now earns a living as a taxi driver.
In a video making the rounds on TikTok, Kalu was seen driving passengers while recounting his past as a professional footballer.
He said he played as a midfielder under former Flying Eagles coach Samson Siasia and represented clubs including Delta Football Club in Enugu.
“I’m once a footballer. I played for the Flying Eagles. I played under Samson Siasia. I played for the Delta Football Club in Enugu. My name is Chinedu Kalu,” he said during the ride.
Despite his current struggles, Kalu maintained a positive outlook, stating, “I believe that the downfall of a man is not the end of his life.”
