19-year-old Nigerian artiste be@ten to de@th in Ghana over alleged missing funds
A 19-year-old Nigerian artiste identified simply as Destiny has d!ed after allegedly being beaten by fellow Nigerians in Ghana’s Volta Region.
The tragic incident, which occurred on May 28, reportedly stemmed from a financial dispute involving Destiny and a man who had helped facilitate his relocation to Ghana for educational purposes.
According to sources, Destiny was accused of diverting funds related to a business venture introduced to him by the man and two associates.
The confrontation turned violent when Destiny failed to provide satisfactory answers about the money. He was severely assaulted in his apartment and later died from his injuries.
“They beat him so badly that he became weak and eventually passed away during the assault,” a source familiar with the case told Punch Metro under anonymity.
The suspects allegedly fled the scene, leaving Destiny’s lifeless body in the apartment. It was not until days later that Ghanaian police discovered the corpse and began investigations. As of now, no arrests have been made.
Destiny, who was from Edo State, had dreams of building a career as a content creator and musician.
In a video clip obtained by Punch Metro, he introduced himself, saying, “I am Destiny and I am a streamer from Nigeria… I am also an artiste and a gamer.”
The incident has sparked outrage, with many calling for justice and urging Ghanaian authorities to apprehend those responsible.
