A massive 20-foot birthday cake crafted for fashion entrepreneur Veekee James’ 30th birthday has drawn widespread attention after its eye-watering price was revealed.
The towering confection, which features an impressive 30 tiers, was unveiled ahead of her birthday celebration, scheduled for tonight and expected to host major celebrities and dignitaries.
In an interview, the baker behind the cake disclosed that the team spent more than 18 hours constructing the elaborate masterpiece. “We have been here for the past 18 hours trying to pull this up for Veekee’s 30th birthday. This is a 20-foot-tall cake and 30 tiers,” she said.
Describing it as the tallest cake in Africa, the baker revealed the cake costs a staggering ₦18 million.
“This is the tallest cake in Africa right now. The cake cost 18 million naira,” she added.
A video showcasing the extravagant dessert has since gone viral, igniting conversations online about its grandeur and price.
