‘She’s also a child like the rest’ laments man who was kicked out of Emirates mall in Ilorin due to his daughter’s condition (Video)

A video of a man protesting being sent out of the Emirate Mall in Ilorin because of his special needs daughter is trending on social media.
The man, Folorunsho, can be heard in the video challenging the decision to deny them entry by security guards at the mall where children gather, especially on festive occasions, to enjoy themselves.
“This is a supermarket. She is also a child like other children there. And the other children are not crying or anything. They were playing with her. Now they are walking us out because of my baby. No problem. Let’s go!”
In another clip, he said, “I’m very disappointed. I took my baby here for shopping, but it’s so sad that the security officer sent us out because of my baby.”
He said the security guard had no explanation for asking them to leave, and he could only conclude that it was because of how his child looked.
Although the baby, Arike, was well dressed, in a beautiful gown and with hair adornments, she looked extremely tiny and fragile.
In another video on the father’s TikTok page last year, he explained that Arike was six years going to seven, and so should be at least seven years old now.
As of last year, he said she already had all her teeth developed.
He explained in the video that she does not drink ordinary water, except bottled water, and only eats selected food.
In a follow-up video he posted after the first one, wherein he was protesting, he explained that the Chief Security Officer of the mall later intervened and allowed them inside.
