‘If you want to mirror Christ, mirror Christ well’, BBN star, Tacha slams Pastor Adefarasin

Reality TV star and media personality, Tacha, has criticized Pastor Paul Adefarasin for describing a content creator as “aggressive” following a now-viral video that sparked online controversy.
The video, which shows the prominent Lagos pastor interacting with a content creator filming his car while he was driving, led to widespread speculation — with some viewers alleging that Adefarasin appeared to have a pistol in his right hand during the encounter. The pastor was seen rolling down his car window to address the individual before driving off.
Addressing the incident during a church service, Pastor Adefarasin denied brandishing any firearm, stating, “I do not have a license to carry a gun, and I did not hold or threaten anyone with one.”
He also referred to the content creator as “aggressive” and claimed the individual had entered his personal space.
In response, Tacha accused the clergyman of gaslighting and called out what she described as the double standards often displayed by Nigerian religious leaders.
According to her, such behaviour would not be tolerated or repeated outside Nigeria.
She also pointed out that if the situation had involved figures like Seyi Tinubu or Nyesom Wike’s son, public outrage — especially on Nigerian X (formerly Twitter) — would have been far more intense.
Tacha said everyone saw the video and from the video “We can tell who the aggressor was?”
She also remarked that the car spotter was even hailing the man and not acting in an aggressive manner.
She also criticised the church members for clapping for Pastor Adefarasin after his explanation.
She remarked that it was either they did not watch the video or were guilty of selective blindness.
The reality star said the cleric did not behave like a role model.
“If you want to mirror Christ, mirror Christ well. Would Jesus Christ do this?
