Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has rejected a lucrative €75 million (₦135 billion) move to Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal, despite an agreement between the Saudi club and Napoli.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the development via his X (formerly Twitter) account, stating: “Despite agreement between club to club with Napoli for €75m fee, Osimhen says no to the Saudi Pro League club. Galatasaray will insist on signing him with the race now open again.”

The Nigerian forward, who has been on loan at Turkish giants Galatasaray, has enjoyed an outstanding season, scoring 37 goals in 41 matches. His form has made him a standout star and fan favorite, with Galatasaray determined to secure him on a permanent deal.

Reports suggest Al Hilal had gone as far as scheduling a medical for Osimhen after meeting Napoli’s valuation.

The club, managed by former Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi, had also reportedly offered the 26-year-old striker a staggering €30 million per season salary package.

The Saudi side had hoped to complete the deal ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup, which begins on June 14.

However, with Osimhen turning down the offer, the battle for his signature is once again wide open.
