The content creator behind the viral video involving Pastor Paul Adefarasin has spoken out, offering his version of events during an interview with media personality Daddy Freeze.

The incident, which took place near the Ikoyi roundabout in Lagos, drew widespread attention after social media users accused Pastor Adefarasin of allegedly wielding a firearm while interacting with the content creator from inside his Range Rover.

The pastor has since denied owning or displaying any weapon, clarifying during a Sunday service that he does not possess a firearm license and did not point one at the content creator.

Speaking to Daddy Freeze, the content creator explained that he was on a video project to capture footage of at least 10 Range Rovers on the street, and Pastor Adefarasin’s vehicle happened to be the first he encountered.

According to him, he was not aggressive or invasive during the interaction:

“I didn’t move close to the car, I even moved back sef. So as I started the video, I was just saying ‘Boss, Boss’. When he parked and wound down, I was happy, thinking he wanted to acknowledge me. But he said ‘Don’t do that,’ and I responded, ‘Sorry Boss’.”

He emphasized that his attention was on his phone screen while filming and that he didn’t notice exactly what the pastor had in his hand.

“I sha see one stuff in his hand, but I didn’t know what it was,” he added.

The video and the clergyman’s response have sparked debates on social media, with discussions centered on personal space, street content creation, and the responsibilities of public figures.
