A heartbroken Nigerian woman has publicly mourned the tragic death of her boyfriend and the father of her baby, who was allegedly shot and killed by gunmen when his childhood friend invited him for a meeting over a long-standing land dispute.
In a tearful TikTok video, the grieving woman recounted how her partner and the suspected assailant had been close friends for 17 years before their relationship deteriorated last year due to a disagreement over land ownership.
According to her, the suspect had repeatedly issued threats, allegedly vowing to “put a bullet in his skull.”
These threats were serious enough that the matter had already been reported to the police.
Despite her warnings and a disturbing nightmare she experienced prior to the incident, her boyfriend agreed to meet his former friend after the man reached out to reconcile.
She said he left the house around 11 p.m., claiming he had a show by 9 p.m. but would stop to see his friend afterwards.
Tragically, he was ambushed and shot multiple times—three bullets to the chest and one to the arm.
“It took me a lot of courage to hold my phone and make this video,” she said in the emotional clip. “My man was killed by someone he called his best friend… I warned him after I had a bad dream, but he still went. They ganged up against him and shot him dead.”
The video has drawn massive attention online, sparking a wave of sympathy and concern for the young woman.
