Popular social media activist, Verydarkman, has renewed his criticism of Pastor David Ibiyeomie, openly questioning the clergyman’s teachings and response to online backlash.
This comes in the wake of Ibiyeomie’s recent warning that he would have Nigerians and bloggers arrested for speaking against him on social media—a comment that triggered wide public debate.
In a new video, Verydarkman didn’t hold back as he took aim at the pastor’s sermons. “I took my time to go through his preaching, and I think I understand why he doesn’t like being criticised—it’s because he says a lot of nonsense,” he said.
The outspoken activist accused Ibiyeomie of attempting to silence dissent rather than address valid criticisms. “Truly, the man no like criticism,” he added.
The video sparked lively reactions from netizens. Some praised Verydarkman for holding religious leaders accountable, while others joked about him eventually starting his own church.
