Lagos one-chance robbers break lady’s legs with hammer because she forgot her phone password (Videos)

A young lady known as Olivia on TikTok has taken to the platform to narrate the harrowing experience she had in the hands of one-chance robbers between Ojota and Ogudu in Lagos.
Olivia was sent to the wheelchair after her legs were continuously hit with a hammer by the callous robbers when panic made her forget her phone password.
The incident happened on Monday, 26 May, 2025 when she entered a private salon car in her bid to get to the office early.
She said she had waited for some time without getting a vehicle, so she was happy to jump into the car after it was parked.
She was already inside when she began to feel uneasy because the men did not look like they were heading to any office, the way they were dressed, and she thought within her that she would ask them to stop her at the next bus stop.
She said they descended heavily on her the moment the car pulled out of the bus stop, slapping, punching and kicking her until she could barely see.
They collected all her valuables from her, including her phone and asked her to unlock the phone.
However, because of the trauma she had just experienced, she completely forgot her own password.
Olivia said the men could not believe that she genuinely forgot the password and brought out a hammer with which they continuously smashed her legs till blood came out.
She said she pleaded with them to allow her to use her face to unlock the phone, but they initially declined, believing that if they tortured her, she would give the password.
Olivia said that when they realised she was not lying about not remembering the password, they then agreed that she could try the face recognition option.
But first, they gave her a cloth to wipe her face of the tears for the process to sail through, and luckily for her, the phone was unlocked.
Olivia said they transferred the money they saw in her bank app, but wanted more, and asked her to call her husband or boyfriend.
She said she told them she had neither, which led to more beating until she told them to let her call her friends, who unfortunately did not come through for her.
Ultimately, a call to her office saved her from more torture, as her boss was able to arrange for some money to be sent to the account the robbers provided.
They then dropped her at Ikeja after rubbing methylated ointment in her eyes, as a result of which she could not see for two days.
She called on the government to do something about the menace of the robbers, because according to her, many of those sympathising with her also recounted their own experiences at the hands of such one-chance robbers.
