Bayelsa police identify woman found nak3d, dead in hotel (video)

The Bayelsa State Police Command has confirmed the identity of the woman found naked and lifeless in a hotel room in Igbogene, a suburb of Yenagoa Local Government Area.
Contrary to earlier speculation, the victim was not a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) but has been identified as 22-year-old Francisca Otu, a commercial sex worker from the Omubo community in Akwa Ibom State.
She was a resident of the “Ashawo Quarters” in Okarki, a nearby town.
According to Police Public Relations Officer, Musa Mohammed, the tragic incident occurred last Saturday at a well-known guest house in Igbogene, where the deceased had checked in with an unidentified man suspected to be an internet fraudster, commonly referred to as a “Yahoo boy.”
A receptionist at the guest house reported that Francisca was later discovered naked and lifeless in the room.
Police officers from the Igbogene Division, led by the Divisional Police Officer, promptly visited the scene and evacuated the body.
The police have commenced a forensic investigation to locate and arrest the fleeing suspect.
Authorities are appealing to the public for any information that could help in tracking him down.
A video from the scene has surfaced online, further drawing public attention to the case.
