Apostle Chibuzor Gifts immigration officer ₦1m for rejecting ₦10m bribe from Enugu native doctor

Port Harcourt, Rivers State-based clergyman, Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, has rewarded an immigration officer with ₦1 million for allegedly refusing a ₦10 million bribe from a native doctor identified as Ezeani, who was attempting to flee the country amid serious criminal allegations.
The development was announced by the clergyman via his official X (formerly Twitter) account, @daddyopm, where he also shared evidence of the ₦1 million transfer to the officer.
According to reports, Ezeani was declared wanted after being accused of using humans for ritual practices in his Enugu residence.
In reaction to the shocking allegations, angry youths reportedly stormed and set his house ablaze.
As he tried to escape Nigeria, Ezeani allegedly offered ₦10 million to the immigration officer to facilitate his exit.
The officer turned down the bribe, exposed his identity, and handed him over to the authorities.
Moved by the officer’s integrity and sense of duty, Apostle Chibuzor praised his actions and sent him ₦1 million as a gesture of appreciation.
He wrote:
“₦1 million clean money is better than ₦10 million blood money from innocent pregnant women and virgins. By the grace of God, I, HRM King Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, connected with the heroic immigration officer on May 30 and transferred the ₦1 million to him that same day.”
The pastor added a prophetic message of blessing:
“Because this money is coming from the altar of God Almighty, there shall be an unexplainable increase and growth in your finances. You shall become great both locally and internationally. Because of this act, the way other countries view Nigeria will change. Many foreign investors will come into Nigeria, invest, and create jobs for our youth because of Jesus Christ. God bless all who helped share the post and made this connection possible.”
The story has sparked widespread reactions online, with many Nigerians applauding both the officer’s courage and the pastor’s generosity.
Social media reactions:
@ProLukakuNo1: “This fanfare is so unnecessary for someone who does a covert job of securing our borders.”
@MellyWaya: “Thank you, Sir, for recognising and reaching out to the officer. God will bless you more, amen.”
@SupernovaKdh: “Nice you did it. But there won’t be an increase if he doesn’t spend it well or invest it. Stop selling that crap to people, we are in 2025.”
@resolute4ever: “Blessing & peace of mind is the reward of good deeds. He is deserving — a lot of Nigerians wouldn’t maintain such courage.”
