“Act your age!” — Heated exchange between lady and 50-year-old InDrive driver goes viral

A heated clash between a young Nigerian woman and a 50-year-old female Uber driver has gone viral, sparking online conversations about respect, generational differences, and proper public conduct.

The altercation, which was captured in a video shared by the younger lady with TikTok handle @hermajestygem, reportedly began when she expressed displeasure over the driver’s luggage, which she claimed was causing discomfort in the vehicle.

According to the young woman, she had earlier informed the driver that she would not be traveling alone, but said the driver’s dismissive tone sparked the confrontation.

What began as a disagreement quickly turned into a shouting match, with both women trading insults.

The younger woman was heard saying, “Act like 50 madam, why are you calling me dear? Gone are the days of respect. I can’t give you respect if you don’t reciprocate it. Even if your children are my mates, they can’t achieve what I have achieved in life.”

The visibly angered driver responded, “Even if you’re driving a Porsche, because you have a car, you are talking to me anyhow. You are an arrogant human being. Even my children are your mates.”

At some point, the young lady said the elderly woman was acting like a raving mad dog.

The video has since attracted wide attention on social media, fueling debates about mutual respect across generations and the boundaries of entitlement.

Social media reactions:

@bigxpark commented, “Regardless of what the woman did, it’s super obvious the young lady isn’t from a well-nurtured home. If you respect your parents, it would take nothing to accord her similar respect.”

@davidalways06 added, “It truly pains when a younger person starts to insult an older person. The younger one will also grow up and get the same treatment. This is fact.”

@symply_sapphire🎀 stated, “The earlier we stand on our right as youth, the earlier this so-called ‘elderly people’ will know their place.”

@Tamara_a💕 noted: “Some of them are jealous of Gen Z, honestly speaking.”

@Michael jslim wrote: “So because she left her belongings that’s why you spoke to her like this 😭 omg… God bless me so my father won’t witness this, cos he’s also an Uber driver.”
