Nigerian singer Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, has been summoned by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) to appear at its headquarters in Abuja on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 9 a.m.
The agency’s action follows a viral Instagram Live session where the singer allegedly admitted to sleeping with a 15-year-old girl.
NAPTIP described the allegations as grave and confirmed that the matter is under investigation.
In a letter dated May 28, 2025, NAPTIP stated that if the claims are verified, Speed Darlington’s actions would violate the Trafficking in Persons (Prohibition), Enforcement and Administration Act of 2015, as well as potentially breach the Cybercrime Act of 2015.
