Authorities in Katsina State have released the photo of 23-year-old Rabi’a Labaran, who allegedly stabbed her co-wife, 30-year-old Zainab Lawal, to death during a domestic dispute in Daura Local Government Area.
The tragic incident occurred on the night of Saturday, May 24, 2025, behind Dadi Primary School in the Sabon Gari area of Daura.
According to a statement issued by the state police command’s spokesperson, DSP Abubakar Sadiq, the victim’s husband, Nasir Yusuf, reported the matter to the Sabon Gari Division around 11:00 p.m.
“Upon returning from the market, he found his first wife, Zainab Lawal, lying in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds,” the statement read.
Police officers responded swiftly and rushed the victim to the Federal Medical Centre in Daura, where she was confirmed dead by medical personnel.
