A Nigerian man who recently returned from abroad is calling for justice after discovering that N150 million disappeared from his United Bank for Africa (UBA) account.

This was made possible after someone allegedly claimed that he was deceased.

Desperate to get his money back, the man reached out to human rights advocate Gwamnishu Harrison, who recorded the video call and posted it online.

The returnee, who has yet to be identified publicly, said the incident occurred in 2023 while he was still residing overseas.

According to him, he had been consistently depositing funds into his UBA account, up to five times each year.

However, upon returning to Nigeria, he was shocked to learn from bank staff that his entire savings had been withdrawn by individuals who allegedly claimed he had died and had already been buried.

He further alleged that when he visited the bank to seek answers, police officers were waiting to arrest him for allegedly causing a disturbance, though he insists he merely raised his voice out of disbelief and frustration.
