A heartbreaking tragedy unfolded in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, United States of America, as a young couple, Alexus Lee and John “JR” Collins, lost their lives in separate but closely timed car accidents in the early hours of this morning, May 22, 2025.
According to reports, Alexus was involved in a fatal crash around 2 a.m. when her SUV veered off LA 67, struck a culvert, and overturned.
She was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Devastated by the news of Alexus’ death, JR Collins reportedly rushed to the crash site.
Tragically, at approximately 3:45 a.m., he lost control of his vehicle on the same road, was ejected from the car, and fatally struck a tree.
The couple leaves behind their 4-year-old son, Gabriel.
Family members have confirmed that Gabriel will be raised jointly by Alexus’ sister, Dominique Lee, and JR’s mother, Sandra Collins, who have committed to providing him with a loving and stable home.
