Heartbreaking moment boy mistakes late father’s obituary banner for birthday poster (Video)

 

An emotional video has gone viral on TikTok, capturing the heartbreaking moment a young boy mistook his late father’s obituary banner for a birthday celebration.

The clip, shared by user @mamachris917, shows the child beaming with joy as he points at a large memorial banner displayed in their compound, believing it to be a birthday tribute for his dad.

Some chairs were arranged in the compound, apparently for a wake keep and the banner was placed on the wall behind the chairs.

In the footage, the boy jumps and smiles, exclaiming, “It’s my daddy. It’s his birthday. He travelled to America,” completely unaware that the banner, which read “Rest well CEO,” was in memory of his deceased father.

The video has deeply touched social media users, who expressed sorrow and sympathy over the child’s innocence.

The moment has since sparked widespread emotional reactions online, with many viewers moved by the child’s purity and ignorance of the sad fate that had befallen his family.
