60-year-old man drowns after motorcycle falls into  floodwaters in Ogun

A 60-year-old man, Babatunde Adeniran, has drowned after falling into floodwaters while riding his motorcycle during heavy rainfall on Tuesday, May 20.

The incident occurred along the Lagos/Abeokuta Expressway in the Alakuko area.

Adeniran reportedly lost control of his motorcycle and was swept away by floodwaters.

While his motorcycle was recovered the same day, his body was later found at the Obasanjo River in Ota, Ogun State, around 9 a.m. on Wednesday, May 21.

Authorities have deposited the deceased’s remains in a public morgue for autopsy.
