Gospel artiste, Timileyin Ajayi, currently facing trial for the alleged murder of his 24-year-old girlfriend, Salome Adaidu, was spotted praying during a court appearance on Monday morning.
The trial of the suspect for the gruesome murder of the fresh graduate resumed on Monday.
Ajayi was arrested on January 12 in connection with the killing of Salome, a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member posted to Nicon Insurance in Abuja.
She was reportedly murdered during a visit to his residence in the Papalana area of New Karshi, Karu Local Government Area, Nasarawa State.
Authorities detained Ajayi while he was allegedly attempting to dispose of her dismembered remains.
During interrogation, he reportedly showed no remorse and accused the victim of repeated infidelity.
After he was brought to court on Monday, Ajayi launched into frantic prayer with his eyes closed and his hands flapping around in the mould of ‘casting and binding’.
The video has generated lots of reactions with many netizens criticizing the suspect for suddenly turning to God after he had cut short the life of another person.
