The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a 19-year-old identified as Mohammed Umar for allegedly loitering around a church while dressed in female clothing.
Umar, a resident of Abuja Road in Yola South Local Government Area, was apprehended on May 18 within the premises of LCCN Church in Ngurore after a concerned individual, Sunday Andrawus, reported his suspicious movement to the Ngurore Divisional Police Headquarters.
In response, the Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, ordered the immediate transfer of the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Yola for thorough investigation.
The police command emphasised its commitment to maintaining public safety and order, urging residents to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious activity.
