Man kissing, fondling lady in viral video not Senator Yau- Senate spokesman (Video)

The Nigerian Senate has refuted claims circulating on social media that a man featured in a viral kissing video is Senator Sahabi Alhaji Yau, who represents Zamfara North Senatorial District.
The video, which resurfaced online on Tuesday, shows a man romantically engaging with a woman in what some alleged was an office within the National Assembly complex in Abuja. The footage quickly spread across platforms, sparking speculation and controversy.
Responding to the allegations, the Senate, through its spokesperson and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Senator Yemi Adaramodu, firmly denied any association with the video.
He emphasised that neither the man in the clip nor the location depicted is connected to the Senate.
“That is not the picture of any serving senator,” Adaramodu told SaharaReporters in a phone interview on Tuesday.
“The video has been online for about four to five years. I saw it even before joining the Senate, while I was still in the House of Representatives.”
He further dismissed the claim that the incident took place in the National Assembly, stating that the room shown in the video does not resemble any office in the Senate.
“Come to the Senate—I’ll open 10 offices for you to compare. There’s no architecture like that here,” he said.
Adaramodu added, “There is no one who looks like the man in that video among us. It is not the Senate, and that is not one of our senators.”
Independent checks by the publication indicated that the video is not recent.
