‘I’ve been homeless for six years’, Veteran actress Jumoke George seeks public assistance (Video)

Veteran Nollywood actress, Jumoke George, has issued a heartfelt plea for help, revealing her struggles with homelessness, deteriorating health, and the distressing disappearance of her first child.
In an emotional interview on the TalkToB show hosted by fellow actress Abiola Adebayo, George who is known as ‘Opelenge’ in Yoruba film circles, disclosed that she had been living in a church for the past six years, relying on the support of congregants for food and shelter.
George shared that her first child, Adeola, has been missing for four years, adding to her emotional burden.
She said her mother called from Ibadan where her first child resided to inform her that she had been missing for a while.
Not long after that, George said the daughter called her with an unknown number to say that she had followed some friends out of the country for greener pastures.
Since then, she had not heard from her, leaving her to care for the two children the daughter left in Nigeria.
She further revealed that she had been ill since January 2 and required brain and heart scans costing N400,000, a sum she could not afford.
Her candid revelations have sparked an outpouring of support from fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry, many of whom have taken to social media to express their concern and offer assistance.
