How I was hypnotized, robbed, in ‘one chance’ bus in Lagos – Lady

A Nigerian woman, Khadijah Maruf, has shared a harrowing experience of falling victim to a “one chance” bus operation in Oshodi, Lagos, where she was allegedly hypnotised, robbed of all her belongings, and abandoned in an unfamiliar location.

The story, shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user @KhadijahMaruf, detailed how the traumatic incident occurred during the final days of Ramadan.

She recounted that while returning from Oshodi, she boarded a bus which broke down very close to Charly Boy bus stop.

She said because the sun was intense, she did not wait for the bus to be repaired and walked to the bus stop from where she joined a minibus, locally known as “korope”.

Unbeknownst to her, the only other passenger was part of a group of criminals.

According to her, everything changed after the man subtly touched her body while boarding.

She said she lost consciousness and later found herself in a small room with strangers who controlled her actions.

She was forced to hand over her phone, money, and even her AirPods. After taking everything, the suspects performed incantations and gave her ₦2,000 for transportation.

However, the money mysteriously disappeared before she could use it. Confused and distressed, she broke down in tears inside another bus until compassionate strangers stepped in—one paid her fare, while another gave her ₦1,000.

The survivor expressed gratitude for divine protection and to the women who helped her, adding, “If not for Allah, I probably wouldn’t be the one writing this today.”

Her chilling account has since gone viral, sparking emotional reactions and renewed calls for improved security across Lagos.
