“We met just 7 times before our wedding” – Nigerian woman marks 8th marriage anniversary

A Nigerian woman, Hadizah Gambo, has shared the unusual story of how she and her husband tied the knot after seeing each other only seven times—the final meeting being their wedding day.

In a Facebook post celebrating their 8th wedding anniversary on Tuesday, May 5, Hadizah recounted the brief timeline of their courtship.

“We only saw each other 7 times—the 7th time was our wedding day,” she wrote.

She then listed their encounters:

O – He first saw my picture

1st – He surprised me in KT

2nd – We met at his sister’s wedding, where I was the makeup artist

3rd – He visited me with friends from Abuja

4th – He came to meet my parents

5th – He attended our first family introduction

6th – We met for pre-wedding photos

7th – Our wedding day

“Now, 8 years stronger. Glory to God,” she concluded.
