A scandal has rocked the high-flying Managing Director of Nakuru Water and Sanitation Services Company Limited (Nawassco), Kenya, James Ng’ang’a, after he was allegedly caught in a hotel room with a married subordinate.
The woman, Emmaculate Mueni, serves as a Customer Care Officer at Nawassco.
Her husband, Duncan Mwangi, reportedly burst into the hotel room with police officers after receiving a tip-off about the affair.
Mwangi had earlier lodged a complaint at the Free Area Police Post under OB No. 7//03/2025, accusing the MD of having an illicit relationship with his wife.
Based on the information he provided, officers accompanied him to the hotel, where they allegedly caught the pair in a compromising situation.
Mwangi revealed he had harboured suspicions since 2013 due to unusual call logs and late-night conversations between his wife and the MD, sometimes as late as midnight or even 4:00 a.m.
The relationship, Mwangi claimed, had professional perks for Mueni. She was previously dismissed in 2013 for taking an unauthorised trip to Uganda, but was reinstated after Ng’ang’a became MD.
Her salary was later increased, and she was appointed to several company committees with financial benefits.
Sources allege Ng’ang’a also gave Mueni access to his electronic signature and authorised her to sign sensitive company documents.
