Human rights lawyer Femi Falana (SAN) has reportedly taken a stand against the arrest and detention of controversial social commentator, VeryDarkMan (VDM), by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), despite being involved in a separate legal battle with him.
This development was confirmed by VDM’s lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, who had earlier accused Falana of not speaking against the arrest of his client.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday afternoon, Adeyanju revealed that he has now verified that Falana made calls to the EFCC, challenging the legality of VDM’s arrest.
It will be recalled that VDM and Falana are currently in court over statements made by VDM while analyzing a viral voice note, in which it was alleged that Falana and his son, popular musician Falz, communicated with Bobrisky during his time in detention.
