The sister of the youngman, Damilola Balogun, allegedly k1lled by his girlfriend, has explained the circumstances that led to the tragic incident.
According to the sister, who uses the TikTok handle @nevaeh_nathanandmom, Balogun Damilola, popularly known as Dami Richie, was k1lled over food.
She said Dami had gone out to buy food for himself, his girlfriend, and a friend, but took a long time to return.
Upon returning, his girlfriend reportedly questioned why he had taken so long.
The late Dami Richie reportedly explained that he had first delivered food to his friend, which sparked a heated argument between the couple.
Overwhelmed by the tension, Dami called his friend and asked to be picked up.
Although the friend initially claimed he had no fuel, he later found some and decided to go get him.
Before he arrived, however, he received a shocking call from his wife, saying Dami’s girlfriend had contacted her, claiming Dami was no longer breathing.
Upon arriving at the estate, the friend found a neighbour already driving Dami to the hospital.
They transferred him into the friend’s vehicle and rushed him to the hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival.
In one of her emotional videos, the sister wrote, “He was supposed to visit our mom tomorrow. These are the food items he bought. God, how do I bear this painful loss? She cleaned everywhere like nothing happened.”
The suspect is now in police custody, and an investigation is underway. The case has stirred strong reactions online, with many demanding justice for Dami Richie and urging authorities to thoroughly examine the events leading to his death.
